Trip logging needs an account
Not a barrier on principle, but a technical necessity: a log has to belong to someone. That is how you find your trips again, delete them one by one and set how long they are kept. An account is free and asks for an e-mail address and a password.
- Kilometre mark, next lock upstream and downstream, distance and radio channel — while you are underway.
- A share link that lets someone ashore follow where you are. Without that link, nobody sees anything.
- You decide how long trips are kept — from "only until the trip ends" to a year.

This is not a safety system
This function records where you are — nothing more. It sends no alarm, nobody monitors it, and if your phone gets wet, runs flat or loses signal it simply stops. Never rely on it.
