How the assistant works
The assistant invents nothing. It assembles messages according to the schema in the Radiotelephony Guide for Inland Navigation: call, identification, position, message. The procedure words MAYDAY, PAN PAN, SECURITE, THIS IS, MAYDAY RELAY, SILENCE MAYDAY, RECEIVED and SILENCE FINI are never translated — for THIS IS, “HIER IST” and “ICI” are expressly permitted.
OVER, OUT and RECEIVED as everyday practice are not defined as such in the inland waterway rules. They are common and expected usage, not prescribed wording — which is why they are greyed here.
The language follows the country of the station you call: § 4.05 of the Moselle police regulation and the ILR CORVNI question catalogue say the same thing. That is why the assistant switches to French automatically at a French lock.
