Trier-Monaise marina

The largest harbour in the Trier basin, on the left bank at km 197.5 — above the Trier barrage and about three and a half kilometres below the mouth of the Saar. The Roman city is twelve kilometres away and easily reached by bicycle. The harbour is run on a voluntary basis by the harbour administration, staffed by the sailing section of PST Trier e.V. on behalf of the city of Trier. 115 berths in the water and 31 ashore are spread across eleven floating pontoons; the season runs from 1 April to 31 October. Visitor berths are at the heads of pontoons A and B and are booked through the form on the harbour’s own site — the heads of C and D are kept clear for dinghies. On site: a shower block with WC, power and water on the pontoons, a 6-tonne crane including the spreader (3.50 m maximum beam, sailing boats only with the mast down), a slipway by arrangement, hard standing for boats and trailers, the “Kajüte” clubhouse, barbecue areas, a playground and household waste disposal. The harbour master’s office is in the regatta tower. The harbour is a base of the cruiser division of the German Sailing Association. Worth knowing before you arrive: the harbour administration has reported increasing silting of the basin for years and has asked the city of Trier to dredge, so please check the permissible draught in advance.
