It calculates stages, not a route. The journey involves around 145 locks; we have stage figures, not the position of each one. The Canal des Vosges alone has 93 — we do not reproduce those from memory but point to the VNF charts. The Moselle is different: the actual locks are listed below with kilometre and radio channel.

Your destination in detail: Sierck-les-Bains
Sierck-les-Bains is the shortest foreign cruise the Moselle can offer: one lockage at Apach and you lie beneath the castle of the Dukes of Lorraine — France within after-work reach. The calculation above ends at the lock; Sierck’s pontoon lies just beyond it.
The castle keeps watch above, the lanes crowd the bank below — for an evening stroll with a view back over the Moselle, the village is plenty. Make it the little loop if you like: over in the evening, dinner at the village inn, back with the current in the morning.
For the French locks we deliberately keep no individual data — the official VNF charts and notices to skippers are authoritative. The VNF vignette is required from Apach onward.
